Personal workstation

My workstation is running Gentoo Linux and kernel 2.6.15.1. On this page I describe how I got my hardware working. Here is the dmesg for the machine.

• CPU: AMD Athlon64 3500+ 2.2GHz cooled by: Thermaltake Big Typhoon with a 120mm fan
• Motherboard: Abit AN8 SLI motherboard with 1GB ram (2x 512MB Corsair DDR400/PC3200 Dual channel)
• Sound card: Creative SoundBlaster Live! Player 5.1 / Abit AN8 SLI Integrated AudioMAX 7.1
• Graphics card: Sapphire ATI x1300 PCI-e, 256MB
• Network card: Onboard nVidia 1Gbit Ethernet
• Hard drive: Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 120GB, see Storage devices in Linux: Hard drives

• Monitor: Eizo FlexScan F67 19" w. USB 1.1 hub, just enable USB support in the kernel and it works (Manufactures homepage)
